The leadership of UFCW Local 342 considers the Local 342 Safety, Education and Cultural Fund Scholarship Program one of the most important benefits available to Local 342 members and their families. Each year, approximately 50 college scholarships are distributed to UFCW Local 342 members and/or their dependents. The leadership of Local 342, along with the trustees of the UFCW Local 342 Safety, Educational and Cultural Fund, take this benefit very seriously. The intention of the benefit is to enable our members to afford the high expenses of college tuition and/or high education.

It is through the leadership of Local 342 and through Collective Bargaining that enables us to continuously improve the scholarships for our members and/or their dependents. Higher education for our members and/or their dependents is a priority of the Local 342 Safety, Educational and Cultural Fund. We should never lose sight of the importance for our young to have an opportunity for their education. We are happy as your Union to be able to bring this benefit to you and your families; and, the Union is committed to continuously improve that in the future.
