Overall the new contract
has many improvements.  
Members should be proud
of their participation during
negotiations; it benefits you
and your fellow members.  
Having a solid contract with
strong language not only
benefits you financially, but
it also protects the
members.  The contract
gives the members job
security, which in return
brings stability to the
member’s lives and the lives
of the people that depend
on them.

overwhelmingly approved!  
Voting took place on
Friday, August 1st, 2008 at
the main facility located in
Maspeth, Queens.  We
know that everybody
worked very hard to make
sure that we had a
contract that we could be
proud of.
