There are potentially hundreds of targets ready to be organized, between product information right on the shelves and the workers that make deliveries in your stores. Many times these delivery drivers and helpers may be suffering with horrible working conditions, unsafe trucks, or even worse, no health care, no pension, and no overtime because they do not have a Union. In an effort to grow Local 342 and maintain its strength and get even stronger, we are asking members to get more involved.

     In 2008, with the help of the Shop Stewards and members, the Local 342 Union First Organizing Program was able to collect 3,228 organizing targets. This year Local 342 would like to increase the number of potential organizing targets to 5,000. WE ARE JUST 1,772 TARGETS AWAY FROM OUR GOAL!

     During the 2009 Year End Membership Meeting a special lottery drawing will be held. Every member that emails the Organizing Department and gives information about a potential organizing target will be added into the lottery. If your tip is *valid you will receive a confirmation email. If you receive the confirmation email your name has been placed into the lottery.
