Local 342 in conjunction with the New York Blood Center will be holding Blood Drives in all the Areas Offices. Join Us on the Following Dates and Locations:
Monday August 2nd - Local 342 Mineola Office --- Monday August 9th - Local 342 Brooklyn Office
Monday August 16th - Local 342 Staten Island Office --- Monday August 23rd - Local 342 Patchogue Office

Did You Know
You Can Receive Tuition Reimbursement for Educational Expenses - Local 342’s SEC Fund provides tuition assistance to eligible Local 342 members of $1000.00 per semester, per year. The assistance that a Local 342 members can receive comes in the form of reimbursement for educational expenses following the completion of a course or courses. Courses can be held at a variety of different educational institutions. They can be taken for credit or no credit at colleges, universities and trade schools. Certificate programs and Continued Education programs can also be reimbursed. Contact the SEC Fund office for more information. (718) 982-0342 Ext. 2

UFCW Receives Notice From U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) - Attention Haitian Nationals - If you are a Haitian national and applied for Temporary Protected Status, you may have received an Employment Authorization Document (EAD) with an expiration date of July 22, 2010. USCIS is re-issuing extended EADs with the expiration date of July 22, 2011 to the impacted cardholders. You will receive the new card before the expiration of your current card. Web-Site Lottery – A lottery drawing will take place on Friday, July 30, 2010 at the Local 342 Mineola Office for all Local 342 Members who are signed up on Local 342’s Web-Site for email updates. Seven Grand Prize winners and Three Second Prize winners will be chosen.
GRAND PRIZE- Seven (7) email update Local 342 members will be randomly chosen to receive up to Four (4) tickets to just about any sports game, theater show or event of their choice. This is subject to availability and no guarantee event and date chosen will be available – if not available will have to choose another event and/or date. (Each individual ticket chosen may not exceed the face value of $200.00).
SECOND PRIZE- Three (3) email update Local 342 members will be randomly chosen to win a Harbor Brunch Cruise for Two (2) on a beautiful 1920’s style Yacht around Manhattan. (This prize includes a $25.00 AMEX Card for parking expenses).
