Local 342 Easter Basket Donations - Donations can be dropped off weekdays between 9:00 am and 4:30 pm at your Local 342 Area Offices in Mineola, Patchogue, Brooklyn and Staten Island until Monday March 29th, 2010. Visit your Area Office and join our Activities Committee on Monday March 29th at 4:30 as we assemble the baskets. Click the Flyer for more information.

Free Tickets From Your SEC Fund - For members of Local 342 and their spouse and/or dependants!!! (Eligibility will be verified upon ticket request.) The winter season is the perfect time to have a day outing. Pick from 9 different venues. Bronx Zoo - Winter attractions include Snow Leopards, Polar Bears, Tigers and other cold-weather animals. Staten Island Zoo – Meet Henry Ford, the one year old rare Red Panda. New York Botanical Garden – The tropics are closer than you think. Walk through the misty rain forests or the dry desserts. New York Aquarium – Say hello to the Black-footed Penguins or join Danny and Spanky for their daily fish feeding. Atlantis Marine World – Winter attractions include the Sea Lion Show and the African Penguin Talk and Feed. The Local 342 Safety, Education & Cultural Fund College Freshman Scholarship – Application must be returned no later than April 30, 2010... If you or one of your dependent children will be entering college in the fall of this year (Fall 2010 Semester), we encourage you to fill out the application and return it as quickly as possible. All applications are reviewed by a credentialed educational professional, who then sends his/her recommendations to the Fund Trustees. Applications must be submitted by April 30th of 2010 to ensure consideration for a scholarship.
Each year, approximately 50 college scholarships are distributed to UFCW Local 342 members and/or their dependents. The leadership of Local 342, along with the trustees of the UFCW Local 342 Safety, Educational and Cultural Fund, take this benefit very seriously. The intention of the benefit is to enable our members to afford the high expenses of college tuition and/or high education. Please read the application form carefully and fill it out completely. If you need assistance with completing the form, just contact the Safety Department at (718) 982-0342, and Press 2 for the Safety Department.
